It appears Trump lied about who would fund wall
After reading yet another article about funding for "the wall" titled, "Dems denied Trump the tools he needs," (June 1), I am baffled. Am I the only one that heard over and over again during President Trump's entire campaign and beyond that Mexico was going to pay for the wall? Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent, there shouldn't be a need to discuss funding. At every rally he would talk about the wall, yell to the crowd and ask who was going to pay for it, and they would shout back "Mexico!" He assured us, promised us, and guaranteed us that Mexico would definitely pay. Were we not supposed to believe him? Is it possible that he lied to us? I understand the wall being an issue but, again, I don't understand why it should be a taxpayer issue for the citizens of the United States.
