Bishop's silence shows disregard for victims of priest sexual abuse
Joe Wojtas' compelling story, “Priest abuse victim picketing Catholic churches,” (July 11), on Catholic church sex-abuse survivor Tim McGuire and his one-man picketing of Norwich Diocese churches underlines the continuing, blatant coverup of Bishop Michael Cote. Cote and his media relations director, Wayne Gignac, continue refusing to comment on the horrific amount of past cases of child rape and abuse at the hands of diocesan priests along with still pending litigation against the Diocese of Norwich. It adds to a growing perception of gross, ungodly irresponsibility and lack of care and concern for victims such as Tim McGuire.
