Proud of NL-Mystic Little Leaguers
The parents and players of the Connecticut State Champion Intermediate Little League Team, the New London/Mystic Mysfits, would like to acknowledge the individuals and businesses across many local communities for their support of our team’s trip to the regional tournament in Commack, N.Y. The team, in its first year of existence, was undefeated in league and district play, lost their first game of the state tournament, and bounced back to win five straight to capture the first state title New London Little League has earned in 34 years.
In addition to the many individuals who generously donated, the following companies and organizations deserve special recognition: Foxwoods, L+M, Cross Sound Ferry, Beechwood Rehabilitation, Levi’s Cleaning Crew, Teodoro Photography, Gay Gallagher Real Estate, Mystic Little League, Roman’s Auto Detail and New London Youth Wrestling. Many of these young men are students at local middle schools, and during this unsettled time, deserve all the positive recognition they can get. They certainly “felt the love” from so many, and represented southeastern Connecticut and the state with perseverance, character and sportsmanship. As their parents, we appreciate you, and we are grateful to them, for making us so very proud.
