Sheckley is a great choice for East Lyme school board
As a former chair of the East Lyme Board of Education and a doctoral student working with Professor Barry Sheckley as my major advisor, I know that few other educators understand teaching and learning with his depth of knowledge. Over the past few years, he has demonstrated his commitment to the education of East Lyme students by his donation of 40 computers to East Lyme Middle School and his pro bono work with teachers in classrooms to advance students' learning. His voice will be an important one on the East Lyme Board of Education to ensure our district is focused on our most important work: generating a deep love of learning in each of our children.
