Cuomo has proved anything but competent

Froma Harrop’s definition of “competent” is as flexible as Ma Pelosi’s conscience, “Andrew Cuomo for vice president,” (May 21).

New York Governor Cuomo would be one of many competent Buttheads to his Beavis Biden running mate; but then, “C’mon, man,” so would Maxine Waters.

Frazzled by a constituent’s desire to go back to work, Cuomo snapped: “You want to get back to work? Go get an essential job.” Like his younger brother at CNN?

Under Cuomo’s macular edimic watch, virus-contaminated patients were dumped into nursing homes to infect and kill thousands of the most vulnerable senior citizens.

New York had the nation’s highest number of COVID-19 deaths, positive cases, and fatality rates per million populations. At 1,367, the state had the highest mortality rate per million of any nation of any size in the world, according to columnist Victor Davis Hanson.

Cuomo did end up with a surplus of medical equipment, but not because he planned for the pandemic. The credit goes to President Trump who shipped him and other governors make-shift hospitals, 92.7 million N95 respirators, 133 million surgical masks, 10.5 million face shields, 42.4 million surgical gowns, and 989 million gloves.
