At state level, Democratic rule has not served us well
Another David Collins rant, “How does the Connecticut GOP support a submarine-cutting Trump?,” (July 25). Once again Collins lets his hatred of Republicans cloud his common sense. He confuses state politics with national politics.
He wants local Republicans to denounce their own party for national issues for which they have no input. They cannot bite the hand that feeds them (campaign funding). He touts the Democrats in Congress as if they are our state legislators. The Democrats have controlled our state for many, many years and what has it gotten us? Higher and more taxes and fees and more and more debt. Wake up, Mr. Collins. Our congressmen and women may be doing a good job, but they are not running our sate. Keep local and national politics separate.
