During her time in Hartford, state Senator Heather Somers has been a proven independent, with the most bipartisan voting record in the Senate. Prior to her time as our voice for the 18th district, Somers served on the Groton Town Council and as mayor of Groton. During that time, she managed to increase funding for education while still lowering taxes.
