On November 3, Connecticut’s 23rd House District will have the rare opportunity to elect a truly extraordinary public servant. Dave Rubino has practiced law for 24 years, most of them overseas as a human rights lawyer. There he witnessed government at its worst and learned how to improve it. Through his law practice and service on Old Lyme’s Economic Development Commission, Dave has become intimately familiar with our region’s economic condition, and he is deeply committed to improving it. His other priorities include universal voting rights, a strong safety net, health care for all, racial justice, a reasonable minimum wage, student debt relief, affordable housing, and environmental reform.
