Osten defines what an elected leader should be
I am grateful for the proven, people-centered leadership of state Senator Cathy Osten.
Osten supported Ledyard Middle School and Gallup Hill School Renovate as New projects as well as the downtown streetscape reconstruction. She secured more than $50 million for jobs training to prepare eastern Connecticut residents for the good-paying, middle-class manufacturing positions that our employers need to fill. During this pandemic, Osten has supported economic aid like rent and mortgage relief, and she never stops fighting to help each of her constituents to get through this crisis.
She is a tireless advocate for our farms. She won the Connecticut Farm Bureau’s leadership award in 2019 for her outstanding contributions to Connecticut’s farms.
Osten brings in funding where it is needed and also deftly reduces costs in every way possible. She delivered balanced budgets that did not increase the state income or sales tax and eliminated 1,000 positions in state government.
Osten exemplifies what we should expect from our elected officials − someone dedicated, experienced, hard-working, and responsive to constituents.
I am proud to be represented by Cathy Osten. She has my vote.
