First Amendment attacks must stop

The Department of Justice has announced that it will no longer obtain reporters' phone records, a practice that has been used by past Republican and Democratic administrations.

The reversal follows President Biden pledging that "It was simply, simply wrong" to seize journalists' records. Biden is saying that he will not permit the practice. It received renewed scrutiny over the past month as the DOJ alerted reporters at CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times that phone records of their reporters had been secretly obtained in the final year of the Trump administration.

These seizures are an affront to our democracy and The First Amendment! They are dangerous and unconscionable!

Every American needs to stand up and speak out against these seizures. It is our constitutional responsibility!
