I was at a wedding near Seekonk, Massachusetts, last Friday and passed a Stop and Shop gas station where the price of regular gas was only 10 cents more than the Waterford Stop and Shop. The Massachusetts state gas tax is 28.5 cents per gallon, whereas Connecticut has waived its state gas tax. So, everything else being equal, whose pocket did the other 18.5 cents go in Connecticut?
