    Don't disregard the real best fish and chips on the shore

    In my opinion, your survey of fish and chips places in Connecticut and Rhode Island was discredited from the outset. ("Day readers decide the best fish and chips in the region," June 21).

    Where is Iggy's Doughboy and Chowder House from Rhode Island? The best fish and chips I have had on the shore, and I have tested fish and chips in the UK, Ireland, NZ, on the beach in Santa Monica, fish fries in upstate New York, and the best in the world (with Alaskan Halibut) in Sausalito, California. Criteria? The fish has to be fresh, firm, thickly cut, with batter that stays crisp and served with crunchy thick cut fries and a world-class cole slaw.
