    Take a breath

Take a breath, Connecticut. Contrary to the inflammatory and accusatory remarks of Attorney General Tong, Governor Lamont and other Connecticut officials, the recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions with respect to the Second Amendment and Roe v. Wade will have little to no effect in Connecticut. Connecticut codified abortion rights 30 years ago, and the Court's decision does not change that. And unless Connecticut officials are using arbitrary conditions in granting gun permits (thereby violating the Fourteenth Amendment guarantee to equal protection under the law), nothing about our gun laws will change, either. I would be much more confident in our elected officials if they would take a breath, think and moderate their remarks instead of resorting to knee-jerk exaggerations.
