I read with some amusement your lead article of July 17 concerning defeated Republican primary candidates accusing the winners of somehow being the beneficiaries of election rigging. The Republican “establishment” has through its silent acquiescence or support allowed the emergence of a form of “reasoning” which leaps from unwarranted assumption to foregone conclusion, namely: “everyone loves me; therefore, if I lose, it has to have been through fraud.”

I suppose that sooner or later, the idea will grow stale, but the irony seems inescapable. “Sow the wind ….” you fill in the blank.
