The Democrats are better at the managing economy for the American people. Republicans claim they are superior, but the facts say otherwise.

The facts are as follows:

In the last 44 years there have been three periods when Republicans were in charge for 16, eight and four years and two periods of eight years each when Democrats were in charge.

Unemployment got worse during all three of the Republican periods. Employment got better during the two Democratic periods.

Deficits were large for all of the Republican periods. Obama cut the deficit in half and Clinton even ran surpluses for the Democrats.

The stock market rose steadily except for one Republican period when it fell 30%.

Those are the facts.
