It was an honor to attend retired Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman's recent talk at Connecticut College and to chat with him at the reception that followed. Like his Purple Heart, his four Army Commendation Medals, and his two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, the two standing ovations he received the other night were well-deserved testaments to the service he gave to his country during his long military career. The letter to the editor, "Vindman spreads hate," (Sept. 25), was a nonsensical departure from reality.
