Greg Howard revealed himself to be a faithful minion in the GOP culture war against LGBTQ youth when he recently repeated, on air, a right-wing false viral claim that liberals are putting litter boxes in high school classrooms so kids “who identify as cats” can go to the bathroom. When confronted with the ridiculousness of the claim, instead of distancing himself from such a vile statement, he insisted that it was true.

Our youth are in the midst of a well-documented explosion of mental health struggles for various reasons. LGBTQ youth are among the most vulnerable. Both the Republican Party and QAnon are demonizing these children and their supportive parents and allies in an attempt to win votes. The bullying and mocking of these children is at an all-time high - by adults!

Either Mr. Howard is extremely ignorant in believing such a false claim, or he carelessly mocks and dehumanizes children for political gain. Either way, his judgment is so poor that he does not belong in either law enforcement or elected office.
