I am not into politics; I am an independent voter. I vote for the best candidate. In the town of Stonington, there are three candidates running for First Selectman.

I believe Danielle Chesebrough is the best qualified candidate to be First Selectman for the Stonington community. For example, having been a track and field and cross-country coach at Stonington High School for 40 years, I had my runners train on the high school track, but also they would have to run on the roads. I used to worry and pray for their safety while they were training. I see now they are installing sidewalks from Stonington High School to downtown Pawcatuck. This is a godsend to keep our children safe. Danielle Chesebrough was a big help in getting this project done.

Additionally, Danielle was also instrumental in the Stonington Veteran Memorial Monument at the Stonington Police Station. Being a Korean War veteran myself, I think this monument is well deserved by all the veterans in our community.
