We the people vote “no king”

The Day editorial in the July 4, Independence Day, edition, “Trump v. United States,” was beautifully written and on point. It should appear every day from now until the election as a reminder of how worrisome our nation’s future has become.

We the people of the United States of America cannot allow another king to rule us. We must vote to keep our democracy and independence intact. We must stand up and be counted as citizens and we should not accept a Supreme Court filled with appointees who are unethical (at the least) and entirely political (at the worst). We must speak out for change that will guarantee our freedom from tyranny. Write to your politicians at all levels and demand change.

After the Trump v. United States ruling, we should all be outraged and worried about what comes next unless we have a president, legislative body and Supreme Court justices who have integrity.
