It was good to see Lee Elci back in print. It has been too long since his last column, June 2, 2021, “I presented different views, but probably did not change minds.” I always enjoy his cogent thoughts on what is happening in local and national politics. In his latest, The Day (Sept. 1), "The country has arrived at a true inflection point," I thought he hit the nail on the head. If the public does not wake up, we will become more and more socialist. If the people want to be like Russia and China, then keep on the current path. Our policies today are moving us in that direction and I see no intention of the ruling party to change anything. I sincerely hope our citizens wise up.
