Welcome back, David. I am so glad to see David Collins' column is back in my daily paper. I really missed reading his vitriol each day due to his infatuation with former President Donald Trump. Until I began reading David's columns, I never realized that every problem we face in this world from climate change to world hunger is Trump's fault.

According to the column in last week’s paper, if you are a Republican and do not agree with David's skewed view of our former president, you are against democracy in our country. By the way David, we are a republic, not a democracy! If we were a democracy, such things as gay marriage, abortions, and yes, even the equal rights shared by so many today would never happened when they did. They all were made law by our courts, not by our legislative body.

David, I implore you to curb fighting against your personal windmill called Trump and get back to using your energy doing what you do best: investigating local and state corruption that effects the working people of Connecticut. By now we all know of your personal hatred of Trump, please stop using your columns as a political ad for the Democratic party.
