ABC is a Mickey Mouse network
I had high hopes for the recent presidential debate hosted by ABC. The moderators showed the viewers, the former president and the current vice president the clock that would show the amount of time each candidate would have to respond to the question (2 minutes) or the rebuttal (1 minute). We were informed that the microphone would be muted on the participant who was not to be speaking.
There were so many instances that a participant would be allowed to speak when they was not supposed to be speaking that I became disengaged with the event. So much for setting up the rules — why even have them? Perhaps the mute button malfunctioned? The moderators and ABC did an injustice to the viewing public, something one would expect from a Mickey Mouse network.
