Cheer for the Sun, not the opponent
Having been a Connecticut Sun season ticket holder for 20 years through the highs and lows, I am a true WNBA fan. At the Sun game on Sept. 6 vs. the Las Vegas Aces, I became upset with the fans at Mohegan. The fan base is growing as evidenced by the recent Sun game in Boston. Those fans were so happy to see a live WNBA game!
Back at home against the Aces, the over-exuberant cheering for Las Vegas was crushing to our squad at the end of the game. How can there be so much cheering for the other team? We are trying to sell out every game at Mohegan Sun, but please, come and cheer on the home team! It takes a strong fan base to power any team to a championship.
Looking forward to hearing the place rock for the remaining home games and through the playoffs.
