    Time for Joe to go

Concerning The Day Letters, “Joe Courtney a voice of moderation,” Sept. 13, by Stephen Negri of Waterford, I have a few misgivings as a disabled veteran draftee.

Joe Courtney is not a veteran and could care less about the plight of veterans, or seniors or the lack of manufacturing GDP of Connecticut, nor the middle class. Joe has been the Connecticut 2nd District congressman for nine terms. There is a large veteran population in this district. The New London community-based outpatient clinic (CBOC) is overloaded and understaffed for years under Joe’s watch. No one answers the phones at the clinic. They are forwarded to an inefficient call center. Furthermore, I do not consider Joe to be “moderate.” I’d prefer Mike France for Congress in this district. Mike is a Navy submariner retired veteran and knows a lot more about submarine manufacturing than Joe can ever imagine.

Furthermore, Mike upholds the constitution of the United States. Vote for Mike and save veterans, Connecticut, and the country! It’s time for Joe to go!
