Disregarding the obvious
Regarding Froma Harrop’s article, “Democrats must free party from liberal media,” (The Day, Nov. 8), I couldn’t agree more on the well-written and detailed laundry list of issues on the American public’s plate in this election for which Kamala Harris's position and record failed her.
Harrop makes a great case for Harris’s defeat: Harris's fake centrist charade, uncontrolled illegal immigration, the Democrats' fixation with transgender issues, the overplayed #MeToo movement, the George Floyd riots, Defund the Police policy, the squad contagion, runaway inflation and the liberal media's fixation on distorting, sensationalizing, or just plain omitting facts. All these things alone sealed Harris’s fate.
One could say “bravo,” a good synopsis. Then, Harrop plays the TDS (Trump derangement syndrome) card by saying Trump’s "mountain of lies and fear mongering non-rich Trump supporters” was the problem. Harrop's elitist view of the “non-rich” blindingly shows its ugly head in that statement. This, after giving every valid reason the Democrats were in trouble that had little or nothing to do with Trump. And remember, Trump was calling out the liberal media years ago. Now the Democrats via Harrop are too? She’s part of the media! Amazing.
