    Student loan forgiveness

Connecticut is about to go on another spending spree with our hard-earned tax dollars. Apparently our state legislature was asleep during this past election and did not hear what the majority of our country’s voters wanted. They do not want their tax dollars spent on student loan forgiveness.

The Biden administration spent $175 billion on this program, and it was all about buying votes. I suspect the same reasoning is true for Connecticut; taxpayers should not be responsible for other people’s debts, period! The voters have spoken, but Connecticut didn’t listen. Loan forgiveness is “unfair” to the millions of students and parents who repaid their loans, and it’s also unfair to the working class who couldn’t afford to send their kids to college. Enough is enough!
