WHO: Six families affected by homelessness
AGENCY: Covenant Shelter of New London
THEIR SITUATION: There are currently six families in the shelter. Almost all are living at or below the federal poverty level and depend on Covenant for food and temporary shelter. While they seek permanent housing, they are in need of a variety of personal items for themselves and their children. Items such as laundry detergent, pillows and small household item (pots and pans, etc.) are needed when they are ready to move. Personal care items, gas and grocery cards are needed while they are in the shelter.
WHAT TO GIVE: Gift cards from stores that carry household/personal care items, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, bleach. Gas cards, grocery store gift cards, clothing store gift cards.
