Connecticut Tigers to hold Pi Day discount ticket promotion
Norwich — The Connecticut Tigers minor league baseball team will hold its annual Pi Day discount ticket sale on March 14, offering tickets for $3.14 for the opening night game on June 15 against the Lowell Spinners at the Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium.
The promotion to mark the mathematical constant of Pi — 3.14159 — will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, either in person at the Dodd Stadium box office, by phone at (860) 887-7962 or online at www.cttigers.com.
The Pi Day promotion is the first chance to purchase individual game tickets for opening night. Individual game tickets for all 38 Connecticut Tigers home games at Dodd Stadium will go on sale in early April. Full and partial season tickets are on sale now. The opening night game at 7:05 p.m. against the Boston Red Sox’ affiliate will feature post-game fireworks.
“The Pi Day promotion has become a fun way to celebrate baseball season being right around the corner, and has become more and more popular each year,” Tigers General Manager Dave Schermerhorn said.
This is the fourth year the Tigers have held the Pi Day opening day ticket promotion.
The Tigers are the minor league affiliate of the Detroit Tigers in the New York-Penn League.
