    Tribe to host 10th annual children's mental health awareness event

    Mashantucket — The Mashantucket Pequot Tribe will host its 10th Annual Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Mashantucket Pequot Community Center gymnasium, 2 Matt’s Path.

    The event aims to shed light on children’s mental health issues along with awareness, prevention and intervention. Information on services available to the public throughout southeastern Connecticut will be available.

    Activities for children 14 and under will include bounce houses, a human Hungry-Hungry Hippos game, therapeutic pets and the Mashantucket Pequot Fire Department’s Smoke House.

    Admission is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Free food will be provided.
