Make a Difference: Drop-In Learning Center
WHO: Emily, a mother of children ages 9, 11, 16 and 18
AGENCY: Drop-In Learning Center
HER SITUATION: Emily works during the day and goes to school at night, with a goal of becoming a nurse. She has been having a difficult time meeting her family's daily needs, let along Christmas gifts; her son has been wearing two sweaters to school because she hasn't had enough money to get him a coat.
WHAT TO GIVE: Girls clothing sizes 14/16, pants sizes 5 and 7, large and medium adult women's shirts, large men's shirts, pants size 34/32, Walmart gift cards, gas cards and grocery store gift cards.
TO DONATE: Call Reona at the Drop-In Learning Center at (860) 442-4466. Items may be brought to the center's office at 32 Broad St. in New London or mailed to the Drop-In Learning Center, P.O. Box 848, New London, CT 06320.
