Bitter cold and strong winds from Monday have created ice formations around the region.
Ice from windblown sea spray had coated benches and railings at Eastern Point Beach Park in Groton. In Stonington Borough, pack ice has been forming around fishing boats moored at Town Dock.
Temperatures are forecast to climb in the next few days, and rain is expected in the region.
