Battening the barn

East Lyme — Robert Anger of Anger Building and Remodeling nails roof battens in place Wednesday to later attach Eastern red cedar shakes to the post-and-beam addition to the barn located on the East Lyme Historical Society's 1660 Thomas Lee House property.

He has been using traditional methods to construct the addition.
