Norwich police charge woman with having sex with minor
Norwich — Norwich police charged a New York woman Monday with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
The Plainfield Police Department told the Norwich Police Department last year about an investigation into whether the woman had sent partially nude photos of herself to a 14-year-old boy, Norwich police said. During that investigation, police said both the woman and the teenager admitted to having consensual sex about March 2018 at a Norwich apartment.
Norwich police launched their own investigation and on Monday arrested Victoria Ales, 23, of New York, N.Y. She was held on a $50,000 bond and is next due Monday in Norwich Superior Court, records show.
Plainfield police also charged Ales last year with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. That case is pending in Danielson Superior Court.
