Salem Lions name scholarship winners, new officers
Graduated seniors Emma Vaunt and Brody Monarea were recently selected as the recipients of the 2019 Salem Lions Club scholarships. Each student received $2,000 to support higher education, raised from the club’s fundraising events such as the annual tag sale and 5K race.
The club also named new officers for 2019. Leonard Giambra was named president, John Houchin Sr. was named first vice president, and David Kennedy was named second vice president. Skip Stangeland was named secretary, George Ziegra was named treasurer, William Martin was named membership chair, and Gordon Gillaspie was named to the board.
