    Nighttime tree, vegetation removal to take place along I-95 from Clinton to Old Lyme

    The state Department of Transportation announced in a news release that nighttime tree and vegetation removal is slated to take place Tuesday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Sept. 27, on Interstate 95 northbound from Exit 62 in Clinton to Exit 71 in Old Lyme.

    The nighttime work will take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., DOT said.

    "Motorists can expect lane and shoulder closures on I-95 NB from Exit 62 in Clinton to Exit 71 in Old Lyme," DOT said. "Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone."

    "Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions," DOT added. "Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity."
