Fishing at the fort
New London — People fish from the Fort Trumbull State Park fishing pier Saturday during the Annual Saltwater Fishing Day event.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection designated Saturday as "Free Fishing License Day," a day for people to get a one-day free fishing license, and DEEP's No Child Left Inside and the Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education program sponsored the event Saturday at Fort Trumbull.
