New Haven woman dies in North Stonington motorcycle crash
North Stonington — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 95 in North Stonington on Sunday night left a woman dead and a man seriously injured.
Cesar Negron and Cynthia Oliveras, both of New Haven, were traveling southbound between Exits 93 and 92 when their Honda VTX 1800C collided with a wire rope guard rail, state police said Monday.
State police pronounced passenger Oliveras, 48, dead at the scene after she suffered fatal injuries, while driver Negron, 46, was transported to Lawrence + Memorial hospital with serious injuries.
The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad responded to the crash, which temporarily closed a portion of I-95.
State police ask anyone with information regarding the crash to contact Trooper Charles Workman at Troop E at (860) 848-6500.
