New London — Volunteers with the Public Library of New London and local businesses were picking up trash around the city Wednesday during a community cleanup.
The event, organized by the library, was to honor and remember those who were injured or killed during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and started with a moment of silence.
