New London police search for suspect after CVS robbery
New London — City police say they need help identifying a man who allegedly stole $1,400 from a CVS at 817 Bank St. Saturday night.
Police said that after receiving a call around 8:24 p.m. Saturday for an armed robbery at CVS, police arrived and secured the scene, but a suspect was not arrested.
Police described the suspect as a black male, clean shaven, between 5 foot 7 inches and 5 foot 10 inches, with a “stocky” build. The suspect was reported wearing a gray hoodie, a black baseball cap, a black backpack and jeans.
Witnesses told police that though they did not see the suspect holding a gun, he was holding a “dark-colored object” and had insinuated that he had a gun. A vehicle description was not provided.
Police said Sunday the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact New London police at (860) 447-5296.
