700 New London Eversource customers without power
New London — Eversource Energy was investigating a power outage Monday that left more than 700 people in the city without electricity.
Eversource spokesman Mitch Gross said reports of outages started to roll in at about 12:30 p.m. Monday. As of 1:45 p.m. at least 727 Eversource customers had lost power. All power had resumed shortly after 2 p.m., the utility said.
Many of the outages were along Connecticut Avenue and "scattered south all the way down toward Howard Street" and the Fort Trumbull area, Gross said.
Eversource crews were sent to the area and the issue was a malfunctioning overhead line, Gross added.
