New London to hold open houses for bicycle plan
New London — City planning officials have scheduled two open houses to introduce the city’s new bike plan.
The city is nearing completion of a marked bicycle route that connects various parts of the city and produced a map for the public. The route is expected to be completed next year.
Anyone with interest in the project is invited to attend one of the two public forums. The first is from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Wayfarer Bicycle, 120 Ocean Ave. The second forum will be held at Bike New London from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17.
