Waterford — While a wintry chill remained Wednesday, that did not stop beach-goers from venturing out.

Mark Alexander of Waterford was walking his dogs, Skippy, right, 13, and Scout, 9, along the path at the Waterford Beach Park. He said he lives in the area and cold weather "won't stop him or the dogs" from a beach walk.

The weather was expected to warm up slightly this week, according to the National Weather Service, with both Thursday and Friday seeing partially sunny skies and highs in the mid-40s.
