Sewer construction planned at busy Norwich intersection

Norwich — Sewer upgrade work at the junction of routes 2 and 12, Laurel Hill Avenue, Summer Street and New Wharf Road will take place throughout the day Wednesday and could cause traffic delays.

Norwich Public Utilities crews will be working to upgrade a sewer main that serves the Laurel Hill section of the city between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

NPU will have flaggers on site, as well as traffic control assistance from Norwich police.

“Every effort will be made for this important work to be completed as quickly and safely as possible,” NPU said in a news release announcing the work.
