Mystic musicians asked to perform 'America the Beautiful' Sunday at noon
Mystic — A group of music teachers here are asking instrumentalists and vocalists to go outside to play and sing "America the Beautiful” on Sunday at noon.
The performance will start by the time on smartphones and be played in the Key of C Concert or by memory twice through. Vocalists will sing the first verse twice. All will be asked to stand in doorways or on front steps to participate.
“The coronavirus prevents the gathering of music makers. The Mystic we love is missing the sound of bands, orchestras and choirs. Music students and music makers must sadly play or sing alone,” organizers said.
