Quince in quarantine
Coronavirus restrictions on gatherings and travel put a stop to the Martinez-Good family's plans to celebrate daughter Olive's Quinceanera, but they did not stop neighbors and friends from turning-out to serenade her in celebration of her 15th birthday Sunday in New London.
Martinez-Good will be 15 on Monday, and while a large, traditional Quinceanera party was not in the plans, a gathering of friends and family that was still not within social distancing rules. The neighborhood gathering was organized by neighbor and friend Paul Carolan, who recruited fellow local musician Hugh Birdsall to lead the singing.
