Old Lyme — Ray Navage of Prospect and Dick Balanda of Watertown had their lunch Wednesday along the shore of the Connecticut River at Ferry Landing State Park in Old Lyme.

They had stopped at the park before continuing on to the Great Island State Boat Launch in town to place their canoe in the water to go fishing.
