Berger withdraws from Judge of Probate race
Attorney Matthew Berger has announced that he has withdrawn from the Aug. 11 Democratic primary race for the position of Judge of Probate for the towns of Groton, Ledyard, North Stonington and Stonington.
"Due to the timing of the withdrawal, his name will appear on the printed ballot," according to a news release. "But voters in the Democratic primary are advised that Berger is no longer a primary candidate and votes for him will not be counted."
The Democratic primary race is now between the endorsed candidate, Beth Ladwig Leamon, and challenger Sarah Moriarty.
