Odd Fellows Lodge awards scholarships
The Stonington Odd Fellows Lodge #26 recently awarded scholarships to 12 recent graduates of Stonington High School, Fitch High School and Grasso Technical High School. The lodge gave $24,000 in scholarships to students selected based on their academic success and community service, exemplifying the ideals of the Odd Fellows organization.
Recipients include Abigail Gibson, Ana Julia Da Silva, Connor Hall, Diane Sefransky, Iris Wainston, Jessica Schafer, Kaira Wiltshire, Kaitlynn Brito, Nikiah Perry, Owen Henderson, Sarah Flakus, and Topaz Baker.
Since 2017, the lodge has also awarded an annual scholarship to an eligible student from the Navajo Nation, recognizing Brooke Mata this year.
