New London — Several people somberly gathered at the courthouse here Saturday night in honor of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The Rev. Carolyn Patierno of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the city said she saw a post on the Women's March Connecticut website regarding a nationwide initiative encouraging people to go to their local courthouse and hold a vigil for Ginsburg, who died Friday. Patierno decided since there's a courthouse in town, she would get the word out for people to meet there for a vigil.
