    Groton registrars to hold voter registration session on Oct. 27

    Groton — The Registrars of Voters will host one more regular voter registration session from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

    Oct. 27 is the last opportunity for currently eligible electors to register to vote before the Nov. 3 election via the Department of Motor Vehicles, online or in person. Registration applications sent by mail must be postmarked by Oct. 27 and received by Nov. 2, or they can be dropped off in the ballot drop box at Town Hall at any time until 11:59 p.m. Oct. 27.

    Electors who become eligible after Oct. 27 but before Nov. 3 may participate in a limited registration session from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 2; military have until 5 p.m. that day. This session is for those whose age, citizenship or residence qualifications were attained after the cutoff date.

    Questions concerning voting can be answered by calling the Groton Voter Registration Office at (860) 441-6650 or going in person to the town's Human Services Building, 2 Fort Hill Road. Normal office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.
